ONE PARTING THOUGHT AND OBSERVATION

We all made it home safe and I posted a few more pictures below. It was difficult to find the right pictures to describe all that we experienced. I could continue the blog for another 50 pictures and still not capture the true essence of our trip. I always say that each team is great and I mean it! Each team is very unique and this team was no different. One of my favorite aspects of a trip is to watch how God uses each of us in His own special way. He always seems to accomplish more then we could ever wish for.

The trip started off very sad as we discovered a dear lady we did work for last November, passed away the day she was going to move into her new home. And a few days later we discovered that another home owner had passed away just two days after moving into her home. Many of us shed tears at the joy of knowing them and the sorrow for their passing.

Sometimes we can only see things from an earthly perspective, and we ask "Why, did Katrina have to come ... Why did so many have to lose their homes ... Why did so many have to die .... Why does it take so long to rebuild ... and Why do good people, who have waited patiently for their new homes, have to die before they can enjoy it"? I can't answer these questions, however each individual, including myself, who has been there to help rebuild, knows the great hope among the Mississippi people. God's love and abundant smiles flows freely despite rough times that still linger. Yes ... Katrina was big ... but God is bigger! Waveland, Mississippi will thrive again.

One nail, one wall, one house ... this is how we rebuild.

God bless you all and thank you for you support and prayers. We'll be back on site with a new team and a new blog in March! If you want to join us contact Trent Davis at the web site to the left (next to our Servants logo).

May the Lord be glorified with our efforts!

Thanks Colley for doing this great blog. I dont think there are any words to describe all the emotions a trip like this make us feel, but you do a great job of letting others know what the week is like. I am honored to have served with you and this team....Terri
